Mrs. Kamats’s preschool class at St. Marys Catholic Elementary School has been learning all about farming and farm animals! Students milked a cow, sheared a sheep, held a tractor pull, and made butter. All of the students’ activities have centered around farming. The classroom dramatic play area was transformed into a farmhouse with a chicken coop and a farmer’s market. Students dressed like farmers and practiced fine motor skills while writing farm words like in Kindergarten! It’s been a busy week for our preschool farmers!
A special thank you to Mrs. Diane Gillen, who came to speak with the class about her farm in Kersey and shared items she uses on her farm.
