Recently, our 7th-grade students at SMCMS put science into action during a hands-on lab exploring the Law of Conservation of Mass! 🧪

Working with a partner, students gathered materials, followed procedures, and carefully recorded their data. Each group measured vinegar and baking soda, then attached a balloon to capture the reaction.

When the ingredients were combined, a fun (and a little surprising!) reaction took place—the gas produced inflated the balloon right before their eyes! 🎈

It was an exciting way to see science come to life and better understand how matter is neither created nor destroyed—just transformed!
