ECCHS is proud to announce the establishment of our first official chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (National Spanish Honor Society)—the Santa María Chapter—sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Under the guidance of Profesora Amanda Shrubb, this new chapter recognizes students who have completed three semesters of Spanish and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in Spanish.
This year, our inaugural inductees achieved an impressive GPA of 3.5 or higher. Members are eligible for prestigious college scholarships, travel opportunities, and special graduation regalia.
