The Elk County Catholic School System (ECCSS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Bolitiski as the new SMCES Assistant Principal.

Bolitiski brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her new role. Before serving as the school’s instructional support teacher, she taught first grade, building strong academic foundations and meaningful relationships with her students and families. She also served as the SMCES English Language Arts Professional Learning Team (PTL) Lead, guiding instructional practices and supporting fellow teachers in strengthening literacy instruction across grade levels.

As an instructional support teacher, Bolitiski became a strong advocate for meeting the needs of all learners. Her dedication to fostering a sense of belonging, collaboration, and student success has made a lasting impact on the school community.

“Becca’s heart for students, her dedication to academic excellence, and her commitment to our Catholic mission make her an outstanding fit for this role”, said Debbie Slay, SMCES Principal. “She leads with compassion, integrity, and a deep understanding of our school community. I am confident that she will continue to positively impact our students, families, and faculty as Assistant Principal.”

Beyond her professional service, Bolitiski is deeply rooted in the Elk County Catholic School System. She and her husband Joe are proud parents of two daughters within the school system. Her personal investment in the mission of Catholic education reflects her strong commitment to the success of all students.

Bolitiski expressed gratitude and excitement for this new chapter. “St Marys Catholic Elementary School has been such a blessing to my family and to me professionally. I am honored to step into this role and continue serving our students and staff in a new capacity. I look forward to supporting our teachers, strengthening our faith-filled environment, and helping every child grow academically and spiritually. “
