In Spanish one classes, each student made an ofrenda, or altar, for Día de los Muertos. They chose someone who passed, whether a family member, a pet, or a famous person. Spanish two did sugar skull cookies and painted wooden alebrijes. Spanish 3/4 created the big ofrenda in honor of the recently passed Jane Goodall, as well as handmade sugar skulls and icing. Then, in honor of All Souls Day, the class said the Eternal Rest Prayer in English and Spanish.

Pictured are the eighth-grade class, dressed in red in honor of their chosen class saint, Saint Michael the Archangel.
