Every Wednesday through October, November, and December, the St. Marys Catholic Middle School students meet for electives.

The electives offered are STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Arts, and Math) focused. The first-semester electives offered this year included the following:

Crocheting 101 with Mrs. Jennifer Meyer. Students use hooks to interlock yarn or thread to create textiles, including blankets and clothing.

Middle School Christmas Play with Mrs. Marsan O’Leary, Mrs. Lisa Daghir, and Ms. Amy Valentine. Students will be spreading some holiday cheer on Friday, December 4, with the play “Believe”.

Textile and Design Lab with Mrs. Dana Gebauer. In this club, students learn hands-on sewing, including a special project for the residents of our local nursing homes.

Relaxing Coloring with Mrs. Tia Meredith. Students will create mosaic posters that will be displayed in the halls.

Weightlifting with Mr. Matt Pasi. This club focuses on proper technique and the science of strength training.

Deck and Data with Mrs. Jessica Gnan. Students explore the world of card games while sharpening their math and data skills.

Games Galore with Mrs. Tracy Cesa. In this club, students learn strategy and decision-making, sportsmanship, and have fun playing board games and chess.

Let’s Get Some Exercise with Mr. Mitchell Faulkner. Students learn how to stay active and healthy with all the gym-class favorites, improving concentration and focus in and out of the classroom.
