Thank you to everyone who donated in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Students at St. Mary’s Catholic Middle School and Elk County Catholic High School held a Pink Day to help raise money for the 3 Breastketeers, whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection and support cancer patients’ travel costs.
St. Leo students had a special Cancer Awareness dress down day to honor those fighting cancer and those who have lost their battle to cancer. Students chose a color to represent the specific cancer that has impacted the life of their loved one(s) and colored a ribbon to correspond. The ribbons were placed down the stairwell at the school, and a donation was collected and will be given to Denny Lindberg, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.
Our thoughts and prayers extend to all those engaged in the battle against cancer!
