Last night, we officially dedicated the ECC art room in loving memory of longtime teacher Pete Winklbauer. 💛🎨
This intimate gathering with family, friends, and former colleagues was filled with heartfelt reflections, including memories from Pete’s dear friend and colleague Greg Snelick. “The day Pete walked into ECC, things changed,” Greg said, emphasizing that art became a school-wide focus.
Pete’s sister, Lee Ann Burkhart, also spoke about his love for ECC and the St. Marys community, a place he held close to his heart.
Pete’s legacy continues to grow through the creativity and confidence he inspired in generations of ECC students. We are proud to honor him in the space where he gave so much of himself for over 40 years. 💫
