Recently, Elk County Catholic High School students visited the Eldred World War II Museum as part of their Medal of Honor class with Ret. Lt. Col. Tim Pearson.

The Medal of Honor is offered for Junior and Senior students. The lessons in this course are drawn from the personal accounts of living Medal of Honor recipients. The “living histories” and the accompanying instructional activities encourage students to consider each concept from their perspective. The Medal of Honor class is designed to allow students to explore the important concepts of courage, commitment, sacrifice, patriotism, integrity, and citizenship, and how these values can be exemplified in daily life.

Mr. Pearson is a graduate of ECCHS and a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who previously deployed to war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. In a military career that spanned some 20 years and included numerous officer and commander roles, Mr. Pearson has served and spent time in the classroom, helping our students become upstanding citizens and future leaders.
