During the Week of April 7, our K-5 students at St. Marys Catholic Elementary School got to add their splashes of paint to the America250PA-Elk County Liberty Bell, which is visiting all the schools in Elk County so all 4,000 students get to be co-creators of the project.

While the Bell was at SMCES, Elk County Commissioners Fritz Lecker, Greg Gebauer, and Matt Quesenberry—who are sponsoring the Bell—along with John Schlimm—who developed the Abstract Expressionism concept for the Bell—visited while the 4th graders added their splashes.

During the Week of April 21, the A250PA-Elk County Liberty Bell will visit St. Marys Catholic Middle School and Elk County Catholic High School, and during the Week of April 28 the Bell will be at St. Leo School!

The completed A250PA-Elk County Liberty Bell will be installed and dedicated on the grounds of the Elk County Courthouse later this Fall.
