Students Put Their Writing Skills to Work with Opinion Business Letters
Mrs. Jessica Gnan’s class at St. Marys Catholic Middle School is gaining hands-on experience in real-world writing by crafting their own opinion-based business letters. As part of the project, they’re diving into the writing process—researching, drafting, and revising—to make a strong, well-supported argument. The goal? To express their opinions clearly and persuasively, just like professionals do in the business world.
By the end of the lesson, each student will have a polished letter that could actually be sent to a company, organization, or leader. It’s an excellent way for them to see the power of their words in action while sharpening their research and writing skills!
