Elk County Catholic School System gathered for Mass at Queen of the World Church to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. ECC welcomed back celebrant the Very Rev. Nicholas Rouch, Vicar General for the Diocese of Erie. Fr. Nick’s first assignment was at Elk County (Christian) Catholic High School in the early nineties. During his homily, he spoke of the three components of Catholic Education: the people, the work, and the word. Fr. Nick used the analogy that receiving the Lord’s message is like tuning into your favorite station on the radio.

Concelebrants for Mass were Queen of the World Pastor Fr. Jeff Noble, Sacred Heart and St. Marys Church Pastor Fr. Thomas Curry, St. Leo Magnus Church Pastor Fr. Justin Pino, and St. Boniface Church Pastor and ECC Campus Minister Fr. Kevin Holland.

Students from St. Marys Catholic Elementary School, St. Marys Catholic Middle School, Elk County Catholic High School, and St. Leo Catholic School participated in Mass as lectors, offertory, altar servers, and signing in the choir. Thank you to the community members and families who joined us for Mass.
