Elk County Catholic High School welcomes the following International Students.
David Toman – 11th grade. David comes from the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. His host parents are Mark and Gerianne Cunningham. David enjoys volleyball and was the Czech Republic’s U18 volleyball champion. He also enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, and PC games. David is looking forward to experiencing a new culture, meeting new people, and broadening his horizons.
Scott Hung—11th grade. Scott, a recipient of the prestigious Taiwanese Scholarship, aspires to be a cultural ambassador during his time in the US. Scott’s host family is Carl and Brenda Keech. His hobbies include listening to musical performances, collecting vinyls, and creating delicious desserts. Scott is eager to learn and share his culture with the Elk County Catholic High School community.
Fengshou Jiang—12th grade. Fengshou comes from Qingdao, China. He is hosted by Mark and Gerianne Cunningham. Fengshou enjoys watching Marvel movies and likes to travel. He chose to come to the US to study English more intensely. He is looking forward to unforgettable family memories and cherished friendships.
Haoran Zhu – 11th grade. Haoran is from Shandong, China. His host parents are Kurt and Diane Samick. Haoran is musically talented, having mastered the erhu, a traditional Chinese instrument. He is very interested in American History and excited to learn more about our culture. He is also excited to make new friends and share his country’s culture with them.
Kevin Nguyen – Kevin, a senior in his second year at ECCHS, has adapted well to America and our school community. He is known for his studious nature and high academic achievements. Kevin was chosen as our Prom Prince last year and one of the escorts for our homecoming this year. He is also a talented pianist, and we look forward to hearing him play at our student Mass in the near future.
