September was filled with so many amazing Saint Feast Days.

To celebrate these special days in our Faith, middle school students at St. Leo Catholic School spent a Religion class studying the 3 archangels. Mrs. Wendel read the stories of each to her students and set up multiple service projects for her students to complete according to each archangel’s patronage.

👮‍♀️👮Saint Michael is the patron of police officers, soldiers, and others. Mrs. Wendel’s 7th and 8th-grade classes created medals and a spiritual bouquet (made of prayers and intentions rather than flowers) for our PA State Troopers.

📬Saint Gabriel is the patron of postal workers. Mrs. Wendel’s 6th-grade class created medals and a spiritual bouquet for our Ridgway Postal workers.

🩺Saint Raphael is the patron of nurses, medical workers, and those with bodily illnesses. Mrs. Wendel’s 5th-grade class created medals and a spiritual bouquet for Elk Haven Nursing Home nurses.

The students also enjoyed some angel food cake to celebrate Michaelmas – yum!
