Elk County Catholic School System would like to welcome Mrs. Rachael McCloskey to their faculty and staff!
Rachael has lived in Ridgway, PA, for nearly nine years. She graduated from Clarion University of PA with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She utilized her degree by working for a handful of years in early intervention before becoming a stay-at-home parent. During that time, she served one year as a leader for the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) program, temporarily as VP of Ministry Development with a local chapter of Aglow International, and led a biweekly women’s Bible study for nearly two years.
Most recently, Rachael published a Christian children’s picture book, Jesus in the Driver’s Seat. Rachel has worked for St. Leo School as a long-term substitute. For the 2024-2025 school year, she officially takes on the role of Music Teacher at SLS, teaching K-8th grades. She looks forward to using creative musical concepts to inspire students through their faith in God.
