St. Leo School is excited to announce that Mrs. Alyssa Wendel has been hired as their new 6th-grade Core History and 5th-8th-grade Religion teacher for the upcoming school year!
Mrs. Wendel is a familiar face at St. Leo School, having served as the Music teacher for the past 6 years. Her dedication and passion have been evident not only at St. Leo School but also at St. Boniface and SMCES.
Mrs. Wendel graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in Music Business and a minor in piano pedagogy. She then received her Masters in Applied Catholic Theology from the (Benedictine) University of Mary, where she studied under Biblical scholars, Benedictine priests, and Benedictine Oblate Sisters.
Mrs. Wendel is a resident of St. Mary’s, where she attended Catholic school through 12th grade. After relocating to Nashville and New York City, she ultimately returned to Elk County, where she lives with her husband and 3 children. Mrs. Wendel enjoys playing the piano and reading books in her spare time when not teaching.
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Wendel to the St. Leo School family!
