In recognition of Social Media Giving Day, we would like to give a shout-out to St. Marys Catholic Middle School student Kaylie Bennett!
For the last eight years, Kaylie has held a lemonade stand selling refreshments, her Papa’s candies, cookies, and brownies. All proceeds go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, Kaylie successfully raised $3,800, with an anonymous donor stepping in to match her efforts, making a total donation of $7,600 to St. Jude’s.
The idea for the lemonade stand came after Kaylie’s Grandmother, Mary Beth, received a calendar from St. Jude’s Hospital and wanted to know how she could help. Kaylie is the daughter of Troy and Angie Bennett of St. Marys and the Granddaughter of Bob and Jane Bennett and Don and Mary Beth Schaut.
We couldn’t be more proud of Kaylie! Through your faith and acts of kindness, you’ve inspired us all.
