The Preschool class at St. Marys Catholic Elementary School had a special visitor today!
Smokey Bear and Toby Herzing from the DCNR Forestry Department came to talk with the students about preventing wildfires. The students learned that Spring and Fall are peak seasons for wildfires in PA, the common causes of wildfires, such as brush burns, campfires, and lightning, and how your family can properly extinguish a campfire.
