Congratulations to Elk County Catholic High School Senior Noah Cherry on his Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award received this past weekend. This award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrated academic and athletic accomplishments while serving as leaders and role models within their school and community.

“Noah was an outstanding offensive and defensive player and led the team in both. He had over 1,000 all-purpose yards with 8 TDs as a running back. He was our leading tackler on defense with 107 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, one sack, two interceptions, 1 for a TD, and one fumble recovery. Noah had an amazing attitude on and off the field and a natural ability for Football. He was a natural leader for our team and led by his example. He actively showed courage on the field and continually displayed his commitment and willingness to sacrifice for our team. His teammates selected him as one of our team Captains, and he did an outstanding job. Noah was a great teacher to our young athletes. He volunteered at our youth Basketball, Football, and Baseball programs and was active all four years of High School. Noah also gave back to the community by volunteering for a local Meals on Wheels program, said ECCHS Coach Tim Pearson.”
