Last week students in Mrs. Reinke’s Spanish class at Elk County Catholic High School visited the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet in Pittsburgh at the Soldiers and Sailors Hall in Oakland.

The students were able to attend the Hispanic American Show and The Arts and Dance Experience Show. The first show highlighted the culture and art of not only Latin American countries such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Argentina, but also Spain, featuring flamenco performances in an immersive experience. During The Arts & Dance Experience show, dancers played and danced to different Latin and Spanish music genres.

There were several interactive sections for students to become part of the performance and dance onstage with the professional staff. After the performances, the students had lunch at El Sabor, a Mexican restaurant in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh.
