Carnegie Science Center visited St. Marys Catholic Elementary School today as part of their Catholic Schools Week celebration.
Students enjoyed demonstrations by Carnegie’s Wild By Design program. Carnegie Science Center representative Michaela Williams discussed with students if you want to build something bigger, better, faster, or stronger, chances are you can find the answer in nature. Nature has been running field tests for millions of years, and this show demonstrates how scientists can take the best of what nature has learned and apply it to new technology.
Students joined local scientists and onscreen zoo animals for a bio-inspired adventure with leaf-blowers, foamy chemistry, and liquid nitrogen rockets! Thank you to the Carnegie Science Center, PPG, and the Pittsburgh Zoo for making this such a fun and educational experience for our students!
