Ash Wednesday

Students at Elk County Catholic School System celebrated Ash Wednesday Mass which opens Lent, a season of fasting and prayer. Students received ashes as a symbol of penance made sacramental by the blessing of the Church, to help develop a spirit of humility and sacrifice.
