The Junior and Senior class had the opportunity to speak with Alumni and career professionals in the field of study they are interested in. Guest speakers spoke to the students about their education, career path, internship opportunities, and day to day operations. Thank you to the following guest speakers for participating.

Mike Buchheit: Class of 1988

BS of Science Math Education from PSU. Secondary Education Teacher for 10 yrs. at ECC, 9 yrs. at SMA. Owner of Zelt Tax Preparation.

Randy Geci: Class of 1996

BS in Business Administration & Associate in Accounting from Penn Tech. Current Insurance Account Executive & Financial Advisor at Nicklas Insurance.

Tom Fledderman: Class of 1991

BS in Finance, with a Minor in Economics from PSU. Worked for Northwest Bank for about 25 years in various roles, and final 10 years as a Trust & Investment Officer. Currently works @ STIFEL – O’Leary Piccolo Wealth Management Group as a Financial Advisor. Licensed by Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) with Series 7, Series 66, Life & Health Insurances.

Dan Singer: Class of 2015

Degree in Cyber Security from Mount Aloysius College. Currently works for Advanced Computer Solutions.

Rachelle DeLullo:

Studied Pharmacology from Duquesne University, Undergrad in Biology from Clarion University with a minor in Psychology and cancer research. Certified in Organic Cosmetic Chemistry. American Academy of Procedural Medicine Board Certified in Anti-Aging Functional Medicine and Aesthetics. Current Owner and Founder at Dea DeLullo Cosmetics.

Emily Fritz: Class of 1992

Graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education

Graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Master’s degree in Curriculum Instruction and Technology.

Second Grade Teacher at Buhrer Dual Language PreK-8 Academy, 26 Years in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, in Cleveland.

Mitchell Smithbauer: Class of 2015

Electrical Engineer from Penn State Behrend. Currently works for Wabtec in Erie who design and manufacturer equipment and locomotives and large mining vehicles.

Jacob Carnovale: Class of 2019

4th year Civil Engineering PSU.

Gina Carnovale: Class of 2021

2nd year at Kent State for Construction Management.

Ryan Fritz: Class of 2019

4th year Environmental Studies & Sustainability @ Slippery Rock. Minor: Leadership Development and Environmental Communication and Cultural Heritage.

Todd Breindel: Class of 1993

PSU graduate in Environmental Engineering. Current Safety Manager at SGL.

Jennifer Asti: Class of 1990

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Psychology and Juvenile Justice, Liberty University

Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, Liberty University

Currently working on Juris Master’s Degree in Law, Liberty University

Paralegal degree, University of Georgia

Current position: Legal Services Initiative Paralegal through Voce and SWAN (Statewide Adoption Network) at Elk County Children and Youth Services

Sophie Smithbauer: Class of 2015

Undergrad at Mercyhurst, Medical School at LECOM.

Graduated from LECOM with a Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.) degree. Currently in 1st year of Family Medicine residency with Penn State Health.

Madisen Jansen: Class of 2019

4th year nursing student @ IUP.

Becky Sorg-Dobson: Class of 2000

BS in Psychology, Master’s in Counseling, and some Ph.D. courses in clinical Psychology. Licensed Professional Counselor and owns a private practice.

Grace Keyes: Class of 2020

Associate in Radiology from Mt. Aloysius and continuing on BS in Business Administration at Franciscan University. Currently cross trained in CT and in the future in mammography.

Ben Brazinski: Class of 2005

Graduated Penn State in 2010 with bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Communications. Current position health insurance broker for Anderson & Kime Employee Benefits.

Active in the commercial real estate market, owning and managing several rental properties in the area.

Emily Evers: Class of 2017

BS in Speech Language Pathology and minor in Special Education. Masters in Speech-Language Pathology May 2023, Penn West University, Clarion Campus.
