Johnny Appleseed

In celebration of Johnny Appleseed day Miss Cunningham’s Kindergarten class at St. Marys Catholic Elementary School decided to make homemade applesauce to go along with their “apple” theme of the week. First they read the story “Applesauce Day” by Lisa J. Amstutz. Next, they gathered all of their ingredients, measured out everything they needed, mixed it together and waited very patiently all day for their apples to cook! Once they were soft they all took turns mashing it up and then waited for it to cool and got to enjoy their homemade applesauce!
