The Elk County Catholic High School Alumni Association held their 41st Annual Golden Grad Reunion this past weekend. The Class of 1972 were welcomed as the newest Golden Grads.
Mass was celebrated in the ECCHS Chapel by Fr. Kevin Holland. Music was provided by ECCSS Band Directors Simon Glatt and Richard Swackhammer along with ECCHS choir students Sarah Reedy, Adria Schmidt, and Lydia Anderson. A social and dinner took place following Mass in the cafeteria.
ECCHS Alumni Association President Becky Schatz presented the honored class with certificates and rosaries made by ECCHS students. Alumni celebrating anniversary years were also recognized including our oldest Alumni in attendance Clare Bucheit-Horchen who celebrated her 75th Alumni Anniversary.
ECCSS President Sam MacDonald addressed guests with the state of the school which highlighted the continued increase in enrollment. Guest speaker Mary Beth Breindel-Rollick from the Class of 1972 reflected on her memories at Elk County Christian High School. Mrs. Rollick spoke of the impact our community and Catholic Education had throughout her life spiritually and academically in her professional career.
Thank you to Just Ben Catering for providing the meal for the Golden Grad Reunion, and Mrs. Veronica Chicola for making the delicious cupcakes and beautiful corsages for the honored class. A special thanks to the Alumni Association and volunteers who make this event possible every year.
