This past year, Elk County Catholic School System made a host of improvements to our schools. These were funded through our generous supporters, grants, and strategic investment of our Covid-relief dollars.

At St. Marys Catholic Elementary School, a team of parent volunteers completed the final installation of new solid classroom doors with safety locks, making the school dramatically more secure. The cafeteria received a complete overhaul with new floors, round tables and kitchen updates including a new electric kettle. An attractive and efficient new entrance has also been added to the school.

St. Leo School updated their hand washing stations on both floors. An anonymous donor helped pay for significant upgrades to the student bathrooms. The kindergarten classroom received new flooring and much needed additional instructional space. New student desks and chairs have arrived just in time for the 2022-23 school year. School communication and security have been improved with a brand new PA system and security blinds throughout the school.

At Elk County Catholic High School and St. Marys Catholic Middle School, new cleaning and disinfecting equipment and a wide variety of new and updated educational technology has been secured. The highlight for staff, students and their families was the return of traditional events such as the Prom, graduation, award ceremonies, May Crowning, Fine Arts Day, pep rallies, class trips and all school Masses.

In all cases, our supporters have made it possible for our students to work, study and pray in a safe and attractive environment.
