Workforce Solutions has once again joined forces with local manufacturers to help area middle school students discover “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?”

This statewide contest encourages collaboration between schools and industries to promote careers in manufacturing while debunking some old myths about the industry. This year, 7 area school districts are participating in the contest, including St. Leo School who has partnered up with Advantage Metal Powders and Formfast to follow the powdered metal process from the powder to the product.

Beginning Monday, March 7th through Wednesday, March 9th all the student videos will be available for viewing and voting on the contest website: https://www.whatssocool.org/contests/north-central-pa/ Our teachers encourage you to check out the students’ work and vote for your favorite video.
