An important message from ECCSS:
On Friday afternoon the Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued a decision that vacated the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s school masking mandate.
Prior to that, the ECCSS Board of Directors passed a resolution indicating that once the masking order was lifted, ECCSS schools would make masking optional.
As such, effective immediately, masking is optional in ECCSS schools.
School administration will work with staff and school nurses to review our Covid practices, reinforce all of our other mitigation efforts and make any necessary modifications. We will also continue to review state, county, local and school-specific data and adjust our mitigation efforts accordingly.
ECCSS supports any student, faculty or staff member who chooses to continue wearing a mask, and we ask everyone to respect the choices that others make.
