Pitch Perfect

St. Marys Catholic Elementary Kindergarten class is learning about high-pitch and low-pitch in music class. Here, Sage Micale and Lena Tegano are using a Melody harp to help visualize the “lower” pitches at the bottom and “higher” pitches at the top. They also made the correlation that the smaller the string, the higher the pitch; the longer the string, the lower the pitch.

In the third picture is the SMCES choir singing at school mass on November 8th. The Children’s Choir has many talented students who take turns singing at each mass. Pictured from left to right are Isabella Bennett, Jill Cunningham, Kaylie Bennett, and Ava Brown.
