ALLELUIA Christ is risen!
These are the words that are glimmering on the windows of Elk County Catholic High School on this Easter Thursday. The senior class decided that the school community could use a little pick me up, so, a plan was made.
The class worked on the project during the final week of lent drawing and cutting out letters and crafting the colorful stars out of kite paper during their theology classes. A few staff helped the students “sneak” into the building the night before school resumed so that all would be greeted with the Easter Blessing.
The Class of 2021 hopes to have a successful and positive spring. They are looking forward to salvaging any sense of normalcy they can during this difficult time and wish to thank the teachers, staff and students for their love and support. It has been a year with many disappointments, but many blessings as well. Having been open all year is a testament to the hard work of many, many people, and this was just a little way of showing their gratitude.
They hope and pray that they will be able to end the year with peace and joy and that Spring of 2021 will be a time that everyone remembers fondly. Cheers to the Elk County Catholic Class of 2021! May the joy and peace of Christ be with them and all those who love them.
