In Mrs. Anderson’s AP science classes, ECCHS students have been participating in a variety of labs and observational studies. One observational study that both classes participated in was the space invaders activity, in which students had to look around the room and observe the different space invaders (colored pipe cleaners) around the room.

The AP Environmental Science class is currently working on a soil lab. They brought in soil samples from their houses, and have been measuring, studying, and observing them. They are classifying, measuring, and studying the capillary action of the soil compared to other types of soil. The Soil lab is the picture shown. AP Biology has engaged in a variety of labs including organic molecular structure and whole plant transpiration.

Shown are:
Junior, Alex Wolfe testing his soil sample.
Junior, Audrey Dornisch testing her soil sample.
Elizabeth Anderson and Tami Geci with their plants for Whole Plant Transpiration.
Tami Geci working on her amino acid and protein modeling lab.
