Recently representatives from Farmers National Bank’s St. Marys and Ridgway branch offices presented St. Marys Catholic Elementary School and St. Marys Catholic Middle School a contribution of $2,000 and St. Leo Catholic School $7,500 through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC).
The STAR Foundation, a non-profit entity created by the Diocese of Erie, receives funds through the EITC program and allows businesses to make contributions for educational purposes to the school of their choice. Through this donation, scholarship funds will be made available to students in need that attend St. Marys Catholic Elementary School and St. Leo Catholic School.
Farmers National Bank is proud to support local organizations that share in its mission of helping to improve the lives of its neighbors and their organizations. STAR Foundation scholarships are a central part of the effort to make Catholic education possible for all students in the Elk County area. ECCSS thanks them for their commitment to our community.
