A beautiful story to share on National Day of Prayer! 🙏
It is a Catholic tradition to honor Mary, our Mother, during the month of May by placing on her statue a crown of flowers. This lovely devotional ceremony is a favorite tradition at St. Leo School. The May Crowning gives the children an opportunity to especially honor the Blessed Mother of Jesus, and to give thanks to her for bringing our Savior into the world.
Due to Covid 19, the school community was not able to celebrate in the way they are accustomed to. So, On Tuesday afternoon, soon-to-be 8th grade graduate Isabella Macer crowned Mary in a beautiful ceremony with her family and Father Justin Pino present.
The event was recorded and can be found on the St. Leo Parish Facebook page. St. Leo School Principal, Lynne Kucenski would like to invite you to join them for part two of their Virtual May Crowning by encouraging the faithful to bringing flowers of any kind to the Grotto located at the preschool through the end of this week. Please be respectful of others and maintain appropriate social distancing when you visit. Vases will be available for your use. Stop and pay homage to Mary, Queen of Heaven!
