Remote learning highlights:

🍎SMCES 2nd grade student, Leo Simbeck is shown meeting with his class and teacher Mrs. Dupree.

🍎VIRTUAL MUSIC CLASS-Mrs. Wendel’s students have not “missed a beat” as they still receive recorder lessons virtually. After she instructs them, she encourages her students to send her a video so that she can provide them with feedback.

🍎NATURE STUDIES-Sam’s SLS teacher assigned him the task of finding 5 living and nonliving things. But, while completing the outdoor assignment, their walk led them to some enrichment, when they rescued frog eggs they found in a 4 wheeler track. They created a habitat for them, and have been observing the eggs hatch!

🍎SCHOOL AT HOME-Antonio Marzella is up and ready to go for school…at home! His kindergarten teacher has provided him with everything he needs for successful at home instruction, including his number of the day work page (pictured). “Having what Antonio needs has really helped us in the transition. Because he is familiar with his school materials, he is able to help me understand the process. We are really getting the hang of this!”, says Antonio’s mom, Lindsay Marzella.

🍎A POSITIVE APPROACH TO THE NEW NORMAL-Anna Biondi has embraced at home learning, creating a work space that is organized and functional. Anna’s mom reports, “Anna’s day to day routine is never missed! After finishing her school work, she practices her dance and piano. She enjoys drawing at night. We do some walking to get some fresh air when it’s nice outside!”

🍎ACCELERATED READER AT HOME!-Bella Beimel loves that she can take her AR tests at home and still work toward her goal during the school closure!

🍎USING GOOGLE CLASSROOM-During a virtual lesson, Mrs. Depto and her students came together to respond to their discussion prompt. 8th grade classmates shared many ideas concerning their current novel, Call of the Wild.

🍎ECCHS Chem and Calculus teacher Lindsey Novosel had some fun with her remote instruction by asking her students a Jamboard Questions of the Day!
