Happy Monday SMCES families!
Today is our 1st day of the 2 week closure.
The following is what I know at this very second. Things are very fluid and changing rapidly. I would advise that you check your email again later today (after 5:00) as there may be updates to this update! Also, watch our social media sites as well. Please don’t worry….we have today and tomorrow to get our bearings. There isn’t anything required of you or your child for today and tomorrow.
Remember for both today (Monday, March 16) and tomorrow (Tuesday, March 17):
No FIDs, No packet work should be done, No need to call in to confirm attendance. Relax…enjoy the sunshine.
FIDs begin Wednesday
Please locate the packet your child brought home last Thursday and follow the instructions.
Students should begin work on the Blue packet #1.
Be sure to confirm the attendance of your child either via email or a phone call by 10:00 AM.
As we work through this first FID, I’m sure there will be many questions. Please reach out to your child’s teacher for direction or call the school office. And again, don’t worry. We will get through this together! The first day may be confusing, but things will get easier.
4th and 5th grade parents, please look for a separate email that was sent earlier this morning regarding the postponement of Fine Arts Night.
Please know that we are making decisions based on the information that we currently have. We often need to move quickly in order to make timely decisions based on this information. Keep in mind, as we learn more throughout the day, we may need to update the information we have provided to you and adjust some plans that we have in place. We truly appreciate your patience as we navigate this very unique situation that is changing moment by moment.
Take care of each other!
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalm 31:24)
