Recently, Lent officially began for the millions of Catholics around the world. On Ash Wednesday, the students in the seventh and eighth grade classes decided to live their faith in a special way. Instead of just giving up something for Lent, they decided to do an act of kindness.

The students wanted to let the folks at Pinecrest know they are not alone. In the below picture, some of the 8th graders are making cards for the residents at Pinecrest.

The kids are wishing their friends a good day, reminding them that they are not alone, and telling them that prayers are being said for them. Keeping the elderly in their thoughts and prayers will be an ongoing Lenten project for the junior high this season.
