At the beginning of the school year, the fifth grade students at St. Marys Catholic Elementary School set out to read 1,000 books by the end of the school year. They also set a third quarter goal of 350 books. But when the numbers were tallied recently, the total number of books read came to 458 in just the third nine weeks alone. This brought their overall goal to well over 1,000 – 1,136 to be exact!
Amazing, fifth grade! We can’t wait to hear what the final count will be in May!
