Statement from ECCSS regarding the Attorney General Report on Child Abuse in Pennsylvania Dioceses

Please see below a statement from Elk County Catholic School System related to today’s release of a grand jury report regarding abuse in six Catholic dioceses across Pennsylvania, including the Diocese of Erie. The statement includes links to the body of the report, along with a few other documents.

It is a terrible thing to read, but it is important for us all that we confront these issues with compassion, courage, and prayer.

A document detailing some of the measures that ECC takes to protect our students today can also be found below.

As an immediate focus, let us pray for the victims of these horrible crimes as justice and healing are sought.
