Congrats to the No. 4 seeded Lady Crusaders as they defeated Coudersport yesterday to become the District 9 “A” champs! Way to battle, ladies! The Lady Crusaders reached the title game by defeating the DCC Lady Cardinals, the two-time defending district champions. The Lady Cardinals hadn’t lost a playoff game to a District 9 opponent since the 2015 1A semifinals when the Lady Crusaders beat them, 7-2.
ECC will move on to play Union-New Castle, the third-place team from District 7, in the state tournament on Monday, June 4 at a site and time to be determined.
