Last Tuesday, January 16, the seventh-grade students from St. Marys Catholic Middle School and St. Leo Catholic School attended their class retreat. The event was held at the Boys and Girls Club in St. Marys and focused on team-building and working together.
The classes were broken up into groups, and each group was assigned a number of challenges. One of the favorites was the “newspaper race”; each team was to build a loop out of newspapers and tape, and then race to one end of the gym and back again (watch the video here)!
The chaperones, retreat assistants, and especially the students all had a great time bonding on this chilly January day!
