SUMMARY:SMCES-IU9 Summer Reading & Math Program
DESCRIPTION:SMCES SUMMER READING AND MATH PROGRAM\nThis year’s Summer Reading and Math program will be free of charge to students currently in grades K-5. This is a federally funded program through Covid relief funds from the IU9.\n* The goal of this program is to help students strengthen their skills in the area of math and reading. Act 89 Math and Title I Reading students would benefit from attending this free program to help with learning loss over the past few years.\n*We will be trying to group students based on their learning needs.\n*Classes will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. for 6 weeks. Classes will begin on Tuesday\, June 13 and run through Thursday\, July 27th.\nDiscipline Policy: This is a free\, federally-funded program meant to help boost reading and math skills and prevent summer slide. We will not tolerate\nmisbehavior of any kind during the program. Your child will be given no more than two written warnings then he/she will no longer be able to attend the\nprogram.\n*If you have any questions or concerns\, please feel free to contact me:\nLeanne Kilhoffer-594-6354\nPlease fill out and return the following page to reserve your child’s spot for this program.
